Hewlett Packard Enterprise is an American technology company headquartered in Houston, Texas. HPE was formed as a result of division of Hewlett-Packard company and is registered on February 25, 2015. Hewlett Packard Enterprise provides information technology, technology and enterprise products, solutions and services. The company operates through the following segments: Hybrid IT, Intelligent Edge, Financial Services and Corporate Investments. The Hybrid IT segment provides a broad portfolio of infrastructure and solutions based on services and software. The Intelligent Edge segment includes enterprise networking and security solutions for businesses of all sizes, offering secure connectivity for campus and branch environments under the Aruba brand. The Financial Services segment offers investment solutions such as leasing, financing, information technology consumption, utility programs and asset management services. The Hybrid IT segment provides a portfolio of enterprise technology solutions to meet customer needs to build the foundation for applications, web services and user experience. Its technology also enables customers to capitalize on a range of trends and opportunities, from serving new segments and shopper behavior to inventing new consumption patterns and generating new revenue streams. Its technology delivers customer results through a portfolio of servers, storage, networking, management software, converged infrastructure solutions and technology services. The Enterprise Group portfolio provides products and services for converged solutions designed for cloud workloads, mobility, infrastructure as a service, and big data; HPE OneView as a software-defined unified infrastructure management solution; HPE Helion Cloud Computing portfolio offering hybrid cloud solutions, cloud services and cloud software, and technology services. HPE Servers offer both industry standard servers (ISS) and business critical systems (BCS) to meet a range of customer needs. ISS provides a range of products from entry-level servers, premium HPE ProLiant servers and workload servers for HPC, big data and Hyperscale workloads. These servers typically use Windows, Linux, and virtualization platforms from software vendors including Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft) and VMware, Inc. (VMware) and open source software from other vendors, while using x86 processors from Intel Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices. For business-critical workloads, HPE provides Intel Itanium-based Integrity servers, HPE Integrity NonStop solutions, and HPE ProLiant mission-critical x86 servers. Its storage products include platforms for enterprise and SMB environments. The 3PAR StoreServ storage platform is designed for virtualization, cloud computing, and IT services. Traditional storage solutions include tape, SANs, and legacy external disk products such as Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) and XP. Converged storage solutions include 3PAR StoreServ, StoreOnce and StoreVirtual products. These offerings enable customers to optimize their existing storage systems, create new virtualization solutions, and facilitate their transition to cloud computing. Hybrid IT networking offerings include switches, routers, wireless local area network (WLAN) and network management products that provide open, scalable, secure, flexible, and consistent solutions spanning data centers, campuses, and branch offices, and provide software-defined networks and unified communications capabilities. Its combined wired and wireless network offerings include WLAN access points, controllers and switches. Its networking solutions are based on the FlexNetwork architecture, which is designed to simplify server virtualization, unified communications, and business application delivery for the enterprise. Software-Based Networking provides a complete network automation solution from the data center to the campus and branch office. Its technology services provide support and consulting services.
